 Fruity Baked Apples

Ingredients
4 large apples, washed
8 almonds (or 2 tablespoons slivered almonds)
4 dried apricots
8 prunes
4 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Utensils
Apple corer
Oven-proof dish
Chopping board and knife
Measuring spoon

Method
1. Turn oven to 180°C. Remove apple cores with an apple corer or knife.
2. Make a shallow horizontal cut in the skin around the apple.
3. Chop nuts, apricots and prunes.
4. Fill each hole with the chopped almonds, apricots and prunes.
5. Place apples in an oven-proof dish.
6. Pour water over the apples and sprinkle with sugar.
7. Bake on MIDDLE oven shelf 30 – 50 minutes or until apple is tender.
8. Serve warm.

HOT TIP Add some yogurt or ricotta whip if you like.
