Also known as Chinese Grapefruit or Tropical Citrus.
A smooth yellow/green skin with thick peel and mild, sweet pulp that is white/yellow to a dark pink colour. Spicy-sweet, tangy or tart flavour. Sweeter and milder than grapefruit. Eat fresh, in salads, juice or marmalade.
Selection:
Choose bright, smooth evenly coloured skin with no obvious blemishes or soft spots.
Storage:
Room temperature or under refrigeration.
Preparation:
Use a sharp knife to remove the thick peel.
